About
Hilton Road Toddlers, is a parent / carer ran Toddler group based on Hilton Road, Bishopbriggs.
We have children ranging from birth, upto aged 5.
We also have various adults attending: Mum’s, Dad’s, Gran’s, Grampa’s, Aunt and more!
We run four mornings per week:
> Monday 0945 – 1115
> Tuesday 0930 – 1100
> Thursday 0930 – 1130
> Friday 0930 – 1130
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate walk-ins to our session due to maximum numbers and capacity, but if you are looking for a spot, please contact us.
Timings
During our sessions, this is our typical schedule.
- 0930 – Those on duty, arrive and set up
- 0945 – Start Time, others arrive
- 1015 – Toys are cleared from the tables, and snack time.
- 1105 – Children dance time, Adults tidy up time.
- 1110 – Finish
- 1115 – Leave building
These times are all 15 minutes earlier for our Tuesday club, as the hall has another let on after us.
Location
We run from St James the Less Church, 66 Hilton Road, Bishopbriggs, G64 3EL.
We enter through the front of the building, the main doors face onto Hilton Road.
There is a large car park to the left of the building, so there is plenty of room to park if you are driving.
Operating
As we are parent / carer ran, we rely on our adults helping to set up and run the club, this is reflected in our prices.
We rely on adults helping to :
1. Set up hall before the session, setting up toys and tables.
2. We operate a rota for an adult making teas / coffees for adults, and cleaning away after.
3. Cleaning up tables and snacks that have been left on floor.
4. Helping to clear away the toys at the end of the session.
Maximum Numbers
We are limited to 20 children and 10 adults.
Currently due to limited space in our hall, we can only allow 1 adult to attend with the children.
We do have exceptions where someone attending may attend with multiple children, and 1 is younger needing the additional support.
Activities
We predominantly run free style play sessions in our hall.
But when we are able to, we try and arrange other activities, this has included:
- Swing park visits
- Soft play visits
- Easter hunts
- Bug hunts
- Santa visit
- Halloween parties
- Christmas parties, both children and an adults only night out.
We try where possible to cover most of these activities with Toddler funds, but on occasions you may need to pay something additional, but this is done by group consensus and not obligatory.
Fees
We run in 10 week blocks, and payment is made prior to the 10 week block starting. This ensure we have enough funds to pay our rent, insurance and funds to cover additional activities.
For 1 child, our fees are £25 for 10 weeks, for one day.
For additional children, over the age of 12 months, they are charged at £20 for the 10 weeks. As well as those attend more than one day.
Currently, we do not charge additional for adults who attend with more than 2 children over 12 months, if you attend with 3 children over 12 months, you will be charged £45 for the 10 weeks.
Also, if you attend 3 or more days, you will be charged £45 for the 10 weeks also.
We do understand that 10 weeks may feel like a commitment, so we offer a free 1 week trial to all new members, this allows you to see how we are structured and if we are something you want to join.
After your 1 week, and you would like to join, then we expect the funds to be paid to secure your space.
No space is reserved for the block without payment being received.
As our fees are paid in advance, and is needed to cover our expenses. Unfortunately this means we are not able to offer refunds, or carry over sessions were not able to be attended.
Committees
As we are a small local Toddlers, ran by those who attend, some of us volunteer to be part of the committee. We have committee members from our four days ensuring all opinions are represented.
Emergency Contacts
As we meet regularly, we need to capture emergency contact details of those attending our club, therefore we need all who attend our sessions regularly to complete an emergency contact form.
All data is kept inline with GDPR compliance, and our privacy notice is linked at the bottom of our form, this gives you a chance to read the form and agree to us holding this information before providing it to us.
